Audio Repairs
We can repair most makes and models of hi-fi subject to the availablity of parts and service information.
You'll need to drop the unit off to us for inspection. Please contact us to arrange a suitable date and time. We'll confirm this with you by email or telephone.
There is an initial non-refundable inspection fee per unit payable up front. Please see the price table below. This covers the time spent disassembling the unit and diagnosing the fault(s) to give an estimate of the repair cost. Sometimes, simple repairs can be completed during inspection. If not, and the cost would exceed an agreed upon limit, we'll contact you with a repair cost estimate before any further work is undertaken.
For units that are uneconomic to repair, if you wish, we are able to recycle them in an environmentally friendly manner at no extra cost.

Audio Upgrades
After many years of use (or disuse), the sound quality of many hi-fi products can start to deteriorate. The primary cause is failing capacitors, but there are also less obvious causes such as failing transistors or switches.
Component upgrades can give a new lease of life to your valued products, allowing many more years of use and enjoyment. Sometimes the performance can be improved beyond the manufacturers original specifications if the quality of the replacement parts is better than the original.
If you have a specific upgrade plan, or just want capacitors replaced, we are happy to work with you to achieve your goals. We can also provide before and after distortion analysis results at additional cost. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
